Timelapse of the Universe Video

In response to: TIMELAPSE OF THE UNIVERSE: 13 Billion Years in 10 Minutes

I watched this video that shows (and also explains) the universe from the Big Bang till now.

The moment you see the human is the last thing, as a fraction of a second. That tells how insignificant we are in the universe.

However, it’s also impossible to comprehend billions of years. We don’t need to go too far; think about how you perceive the next 5 years. Then think about 20 and 30. To me, 20 and 30 feel similar, although there are 10 years in between them. However, the next 5 years feel much, much bigger compared to 20 just because I can imagine it.

Thinking about 13 billion years: it’s the same as money. I can’t imagine 13 billion Euros. I can’t even imagine 1 billion Euros… I also cannot imagine the length of 13 billion years. It’s a lot.

Anyway. Watch the video if you want to humble yourself.
