I keep researching to learn how to invest the 10€ I put aside every month. Everyone I asked tells me different things: real estate, funds, commodities, bitcoin, stocks, bonds, savings accounts, all are on the table.
I keep thinking and reading. Yet, I still can’t figure it out.
The money is too tiny to turn into real estate.
Bonds don’t bring much, they say.
Have you seen Bitcoin lately?
Commodity feels weird, and I don’t know what makes it different from bitcoin (also, coincidentally, in gold color?).
Funds and stocks are the only things left for me to look at. To be able to invest in stocks, I need to have basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping, finance, economics and psychology. I can’t learn from ChatGPT or Reddit any of those. I mean, I can, but even then, ChatGPT can’t pick a stock for me. I have to put the hours in to evaluate each stock individually.
I’m not even getting into the income and capital tax world for any of those. The more I look, the more I find building things easier—at least something I am familiar with. But the money becomes 20€ the next month, and I seriously consider investing in something beneficial. But who has time to learn everything in that world?
The more I look at it, the more I think all of these are scams, and only people getting rich are the intermediaries telling people like me to “do X” or provide “financial services” under some umbrella.
I don’t trust intermediaries as their incentive is to increase their income, not my financial value or my portfolio.
I really wish our educational system taught about these in school. But I also know I wouldn’t listen to it, as I had zero money to invest.
I don’t know. I have no solution. Investing in index funds seems the most viable option for now. 🤷🏼
